Here are some of the reasons why <b><i>project planning and control<\/i><\/b> is a vital step in successful project execution:\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><b>Blueprint<\/b>. A plan is like a map that guides a project from start to finish.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><b>Task accountability. <\/b>Team members become responsible for tasks assigned to them. Knowing they reap the consequences of failed tasks \u2013 conversely, the rewards of successful execution \u2013 motivates them to properly define their priorities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><b>Resources<\/b>. Planning is required so that labor, finance and time resources can be thoroughly considered, including the risk of project delays due to some members working on several projects at the same time.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><b>Problem and risk mitigation<\/b>. This way, not only do team members and third-party project participants know the challenge they\u2019re getting into, upper management is also made aware, right at the onset, that the imposed deadline may just be too difficult to beat.<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><b>Scope changes\/scope creep<\/b><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p align=\"justify\">Changes to a project\u2019s original scope, whether approved or unapproved, can be inevitable.
