Although most of these departments are very specific for each type of business, we still can separate these into two groups:<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>front office<\/strong> \u2013 departments, that come in to contact with clients (<em>marketing<\/em>, <em>sales<\/em>, <em>service<\/em>);<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>back office<\/strong> \u2013 departments, responsible for running the company itself \u2013 for manufacturing or developing the products, for company administration, etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-indent:10px\">Back office departments are never in touch with the clients \u2013 they are <strong>the core of the company<\/strong>. They are invisible to you (as a customer), but they still exist in this small local shop on your street, in your bank and in huge international corporations. Even your high school had many back-office departments.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmwlab.com\/platform\/try\/\" onclick=\"ga('send', 'event', 'abtest', 'platform-banner-click');\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"pl-banner\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cmwlab.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/cmw-platform-banner.png\" class=\"img-fluid my-5\" alt=\"CMW Platform banner\" title=\"CMW Platform banner\"><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-indent:10px\">So, what is the specific of back-office software? A single software means that everyone is able use it \u2013 your employees across all departments could learn together in centralized sessions. \r\nA single database means that once data is in the software, it will always be there, available for anyone who is allowed to use it. It should have the ability to integrate with existing back-office and front-office applications. Using single software and a single database is a perfect situation.
